Born Pretty Store Review + 10% Off

Hey polish addicts! I'm pretty excited for this post because I have THREE looks to show you! How productive right?! I was sent some items for review from the Born Pretty Store which is a nail art enthusiast heaven. They've got every tool, brush, rhinestone and stud you can imagine. I thought I would combine it all in one post for easy viewing.

#7278 gold/silver square/round 2mm studs. Oh I do not wear studs enough. It's such an easy way to spice up a manicure! Since I got gold and silver square and round studs, I decided to make that part of my color scheme. I chose to put them in a simple pyramid design and ugh I don't know about you but I love it. The possibilities are endless with these studs. It really brings out the gold shimmer in the polish, which is China Glaze - Strawberry Fields Forever. My accent nails are a chevron stripe of O.P.I. - Love. Angel. Music. Baby in between the China Glaze. Boy did this mani shine in the sun!

The studs adhered perfectly with top coat and didn't bleed with an extra layer on top. They are also long lasting and don't just pop off. I will definitely be incorporating these so much more. And they are the perfect size for my nail beds without being too overpowering.

Are you drooling over this gold shimmer? I love it. Perfect pairing!

#1027 white matte polish. Now if you've been on this blog for even a hot second you'll notice I like stamping. Good opaque white stamping polish is hard to come by and I have heard a lot of good things about this. My only complaint is the brush came like this. It is a good thing I am just using it for stamping. I'm sure this could be straightened out but I was a little grumpy opening a bottle to a brush like this. On to the look!

I used the Saran Wrap method to create a water colored type background with pinks, blues and purples. You mainly see Essie - In the Cabana and Butter London - Scoundrel

I then used MoYou Pro XL Plate 12 to stamp this flower leaf pattern with BK Matte White. I decided to include a picture of the plate so you can see exactly where the pattern picked up best and where it didn't.

Overall I am pretty impressed with it in that it picked up the entire image but I did find the polish a little finicky with some of the fine lines, as you can see in the macro shot above of my thumb. You also have to work quickly with it because it is a matte polish and dries quicker. I will continue to use this polish but my search for a great stamping white is still on! This is an affordable great one though if you are looking.
#5361 #20 nail foils. I picked a silver one with little holo disks on the foil as well. I was a little stumped for a cool look with just one color foil, but regardless silver is one of those staple collection colors. It was really easy to apply this over slightly tacky polish. I can't wait to get more of this colored foil to create more intense looks. Here you see silver foil over China Glaze - Sunday Funday and I love the distressed type look it creates.

So whether you stuck with me through this long blog post or just scrolled through the pictures, THANK YOU! Make sure to order using my 10% off coupon! Code is EDJ61. This place has a lot of quality stuff for a very affordable price, with FREE worldwide shipping and if you can wait the shipping time (from China) it's well worth it!

  1. Thanks for this posting! I like to see the various embellishments this store (and others) have to offer. I have been looking for round 2mm crystal cabochons (non-faceted) in several colors. It has been impossible to find them. I do see that BP has some oval ones in a multi-color that I am thinking about getting.

Your manis turned out so nice. Again, thank you for taking the time and trouble to do manis highlighting the various products you bought. Always nice to see how others use them!
